Large antique Hampden full hunter pocket watch, 1903.

The watch has a patterned stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 1772505 dates it back to 1903. The starwheel rack and pinion regulator is a nice feature. The movement is protected by an inner cover which has some short scratches where it has been opened.

The watch itself measures 55mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was made by the Keystone watch case Company. It was originally guaranteed to wear 25 years so a good quality case. The case has light surface marking from use. The case back has monogrammed initials.

The movement is later to the case although correct (possibly an honest repair)

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside, there is a glass lens which has minor marking from use but overall it is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Hampden Watch Co. Elegant Roman numerals with red outer minute markers. The dial has several very faint hairline cracks to the bottom.

The watch has its original blued steel hands (lever set) and sunken subsidiary seconds dial.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
