Description

A substantial early 20th.Century George I style and “ Philadelphia” influenced bonnet topped and good quality burr walnut chest on stand. The top having a swan neck pediment with cross grain mouldings, floral carved patrae and centre turned finial. Below are two short over 4 long graduated drawers each having herringbone banding and pierced brass back plate handles & escutcheons. The lowest drawer having an applied stylised carved sun burst and the canted corners having cross banded sides. The base section comprising of a pull out brushing slide above the 2 deep and 1 shallow conforming drawers, all drawers are pine lined and have hand cut dovetailed joints.
