A Good Omega British Royal Navy Issue Hs8 Pilots Watch No 4511, Circa 1943

1920 - 1940
Description

For sale this fine Omega British Royal Navy issued HS8 pilots watch, no 4511, circa 1943. The excellent bright original Omega signed dial has a little staining around the centre and retains its original deep blued hand set and sweep seconds hand. The case is of a different alloy construction compared to the RAF issued version and this one retains a high proportion of its original case plate. This Navy version also has its correct spring bars and its correct flat winding crown.  The stainless-steel snap back is fully signed as is the exceptionally fine Omega 16 jewel 30T2 movement that is in full working order. Because of the different case construction, I think it makes the Naval version a much better alternation to the RAF Alloy version, that is very prone to bad case wear and lug end damage.  Diameter approx. 33.5mm excluding the winding crown.

Archival Detail
Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
