The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch has a Swiss 21-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Octo. The name was registered by Octo Watches Inc of Biel, Switzerland and New York in the mid 1940s.
The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs, a good wearable size.
It also states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish, there is a little marking but not too obvious to the naked eye. Original dauphine shaped hands, centre seconds sweep and outer minute markers.
A new black leather strap with contrasting stitching has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
