Antique silver pocket watch, chain and football fob.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement, probably an unsigned Doxa, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for London (import mark), 1919 with an importer's mark for George Stockwell.

From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items, which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail.

The case is in good condition, just a slight indentation to the hinged case back. Engine turned detail to the case back and a central vacant cartouche.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The dial has its original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There are a few thin hairline cracks radiating from the centre but they fairly faint.

The watch comes with a silver single chain, 26cm long. The chain is hallmarked for 1919 and each of the links has the lion silver mark. The chain comes with two fobs... an 1887 shilling and a 1926 sterling silver football fob, inscribed on the front Bath KO, 1926 (the back of the fob is plain).

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
