Antique silver Phenix pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement, identified as a Phenix, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cover which has a faint initial F scratched into it.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is silver and there are Swiss hallmarks for 800 silver inside the case back. The case is in good condition, just one light scratch across the cartouche to the back of the watch. There is a rose gold wash around the bezel and the case back. This combination of silver with rose gold embellishment is known as galonne and it was very popular in the Scandinavian countries in the early 1900s.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is in lovely condition and has an outer 24 hour minute track.

The watch comes with a silver chain, 24cm long. There are also decorative silver scissors and penknife, the latter has a registered design number which dates back to 1898.

The watch and chain will come in a new presentation box.
