Gents Certina DS wrist watch with turtle back.

The watch has a signed 27-jewel automatic movement, calibre 25-651, which is working nicely.

The watch measures 36mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it has the Certina turtle back.

The turtle back, a symbol of resilience, was introduced by Certina in 1959, the same year as the Sea Turtle Conservancy was founded. The company is still involved with turtle conservation today and in 2017 Certina announced its support for the Sea Turtle Conservancy and its Tour de Turtles project

The case on this particular watch has general surface marks but nothing too deep or too detrimental. The winding crown has the Certina 'C' logo.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original dauphine shaped hands, centre seconds hand and an early form of quickset date where the hands are moved backwards and forwards repeatedly between 12 midnight and 10.30pm until the desired date is reached. There is light marking to the dial.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
