Very nice quality French kingwood commode with a breakfront centre, original rouge marble top and brass mounts.
Beautifully made and very decorative with the parquetry and also with the breakfront section too.
The chest has 3 drawers across the top and two full width drawers below. All running well and giving good storage.
Useful size chest for everyday bedroom use, but also I find this style of commode being used as an alternative to a console table and also often used in a living room, flanked by a pair of chairs, a French gilt mirror above and perhaps a pair of lamps as shown ( additional pieces just shown as an example! ).
Good condition throughout and a fine decor piece.
