Description

Gents 1949 Tissot wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 27, which is working nicely. This calibre was in production from 1936 until 1949. This movement is fully signed and the serial number 2,141,543 confirms the date as 1949.

The watch measures 34.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is chrome plated and there is a little rubbing in places but not too detrimental for a 1940s piece. The stainless steel case back is signed inside with the Tissot logo.

The winding crown is a later replacement.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with feuille shaped hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
