Description

1940s Longines stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a 37.9 ABC 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely, the ABC denotes a thinner movement (abaissé in French). The movement is signed with the Longines name and the serial number 7139047 which dates it back to 1946.

The watch measures 43.7mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is10ct gold filled and it is in nice condition. The case back has a presentation inscription, 'To Edward Doherty, commemorating The Golden Jubilee of The BC Electric Co Ltd, 1947'.

The acrylic lens is in nice condition.

The silvered dial is in its original finish and has minor marking mainly to the outer edge although hardly noticeable to the naked eye. Feuille shaped hands with a little marking, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch will come in a new presentation box.
