Antique English lever pocket watch by Rotherhams.

The watch has an English lever stem-winding movement, probably Rotherhams, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has some light surface scratching.

The watch itself is larger than a standard pocket watch at 55mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is in good condition, just some light surface marking to the back and a little gentle uneveness but overall very acceptable for an antique piece.

The watch glass is in lovely condition.

The double sunk white enamel dial gives the watch a very handsome appearance, topped off with delicate blued steel hands (pin set), a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is a faint hairline running from the centre to number 10 but you have to look very closely to see it with the naked eye.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
