Gents Omega wrist watch, circa 1946.

The watch has a calibre 17.8 SC 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working well. This calibre of movement was created in 1942 and was available as either a 16 jewel or 17 jewel version. The fully signed movement has the serial number 10,494,627 which dates it back to around 1946. The movement is protected by an inner cover.

The movement had a full Omega service in 2016 at a cost of over £600, paperwork relating to the service will be included.

The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in beautiful condition. The inside of the screw-on case back has the Omega triangular logo and the case reference 2328-1 which is correct for the calibre 17.8 SC movement.

The Omega lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in very nice condition with feuille shaped hands, second sweep and outer minute markers.

The watch comes on an Omega stainless steel bracelet which is in lovely condition. The watch currently fits a wrist of 18cm although there are extra links included which could extend it by 1.5cm.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
