1909 Rotherham & Sons Silver Pocket Watch

1909 Rotherham & Sons silver pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement (with snail cam / whip lash regulator) which is working nicely. The movement was made for Rotherham & Sons and their logo is on the movement. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover, this inner cover has a few scratches where it has been opened in the past.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1909 with a case maker's mark for Aaron Dennison, the Dennison Watch Case Company manufactured cases for many watch makers in the UK. The case is in good condition, just minor surface marking but nothing serious at all.

The watch glass has minor marking but is very acceptable.

The dial is in lovely condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
