Gents 9ct gold Excalibur wrist watch, 1962.

The watch has a good quality Swiss 21 jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch itself measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh 1962 together with a case maker’s mark for the British Watch Case Company. The front of the case is in good condition. The back has a couple of pin prick “dings” and a shallow indentation, nothing too detrimental.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed with the name Excalibur. This brand name was registered in 1957 by Henry Showell Ltd of Birmingham. The dial is in its original finish and it is in lovely condition with original hands, centre seconds hand and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
