Late C18th George III Period Mahogany Chest-of-drawers of Good Colour and Proportions.

Late CI8th George III period mahogany chest-of-drawers of good colour and proportions.

Compact-scale Georgian mahogany chest of 2 short and 3 long drawers in excellent original condition. Fitted with all original brass ‘swan-neck’ handles and oval key escutcheons to the ‘cock-beaded’ edge oak-lined drawers, raised on original bracket feet . The applied ogee section moulded-edge to a solid mahogany top formed by 2 planks of timber . The reverse with original fitted back-board panel .

The whole with a rich colour and patination to the well-selected figured mahogany.

In excellent original condition throughout , with only minor evidence of use and wear commensurate with age , use and purpose.

A good example of a classic Georgian period mahogany chest-of-drawers of practical and compact proportions. Has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops ready to use .
