The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a 1937 presentation inscription from Ilford GPO.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case backs for Birmingham 1928 with a case maker's mark for the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison, a prolific manufacturer who supplied various watch makers. The case is in beautiful condition and the engine turned detail is still lovely and crisp.

The watch glass is in good condition.
The dial is in super condition and has been left blank so the original retailer could add their details if required. Original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
