The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1960s.
The watch has a signed automatic movement, calibre 2552 PC, which is working nicely. This calibre was produced between 1969 and 1972... it also came in a manual version with date and also an automatic version without date.
The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs so a good wearable size.
Overall the plate is good condition, just a little wear to the side of the case but barely noticeable to the naked eye. The winding crown is probably a later replacement.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in good original condition with original hands, the centre seconds hand is possibly a later replacement. There is an early form of quickset date between 4 and 5 o'clock (this is an early form of quickset date where the hands are moved backwards and forwards repeatedly between 12 midnight and 6.20pm until the desired date is reached). If viewed through a magnifying loupe, there is some marking to the dial.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
