Gents 9ct gold Omega wrist watch, 1921.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega name and the serial number 5674469 dates it back to around 1920. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 34.5mm diameter excluding the fixed wire lugs and the winding crown. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside both of the hinged case backs for

Birmingham 1921 with a case maker's mark for Aaron Dennison. The Dennison Watch Case Company was an English company which made cases for various watch manufacturers.

The case is in good condition and the case back has engraved ornate initials, RWH together with the year 1922.

The lens is in good condition.

The white enamel dial, left blank for the retailer to add their details if required, is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in an antique presentation box from the top London jeweller J W Benson. J W Benson originated in 1847, founded by James William Benson and Samuel Suckley Benson. They were regarded as one of Victorian London’s most prestigious retail jewellers. The company flourished and proudly boasted an elite client base made up of both British and European royalty and a selection of well heeled industrialists and business figures
