Antique silver Waltham pocket watch, 1919.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, model 1908, which is working nicely. The beautifully decorated movement is fully signed and the serial number 21,776,690 dates it back to 1917. This particular movement was made in relatively low numbers with only 11,000 being produced in total... 3,000 in 1908 with the remainder being manufactured in 1917. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the hinged case backs for 1919 together with the maker's mark for the English case maker Aaron Dennison. The Dennison Watch Case Company made the majority of Waltham UK's cases. The inside of the case back has a scratch but the outside of the case is in good condition.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition and has its original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
