Description

1930s Lagaros pocket watch by Record, Waltham Abbey.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement, signed Record, which is working nicely. The movement is also signed Lagaros A. The brand name Lagaros was first registered in 1915 by Z Perrenoud & Co and then again in 1924 when Record took the company over. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is in very nice condition with just light surface marks.

The acrylic lens is in good condtion.

The white enamel dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, P A Bond, Waltham Abbey. There are a couple of faint hairline cracks around number 10 and another at number 4. Original Breguet style blued steel hands.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
