Description

The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel stem-winding movement, three adjustments, which is working nicely. The movement is signed Rode Watch Company... The name was first registered by Degoumois & Cie SA of Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1910.

The watch measures 47mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is silver and is hallmarked for Glasgow (import mark), 1926. The inside of the case back also has the mark for Wilsdorf & Davis (Rolex). This is definitely not a W&D / Rolex piece so we can only assume that this mark was added at a later date. The case back has some unevenness but otherwise it is in good condition.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The dial is in its original finish which has darkened with age. Original blued steel hands.

The watch comes on a silver rope twist albert, 29cm long.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
