The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, Traveler grade, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 24,843,151 dates it back to the mid 1920s.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a 1924 engraving which reads, 'Presented by Sergeants and Detective Officers of Halifax Boro Police to Sergeant Bates on his retirement from the Force, 31st October 1924'.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in lovely condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
