The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The watch has a Key-winding movement grade 87, which is working well. The movement is signed Elgin Nat'l Watch Co, U.S.A. and it has the serial number 1623699 which dates it back to 1885. ( A winding key is included )
The watch measures 57 mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop . The case was made by the Keystone watch case company an is stamped Silveriod.

The glass lens is in nice condition.
The dial is enamel and it is signed Elgin and has a couple of light surface scratches between 11 & 12 o'clock.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch comes on a vintage albert chain with fancy links.
The chain measures 31.5 cm long including the T bar and clasp.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
