Antique silver pocket watch, 1919.

The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 54mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for London (import mark), 1919 with an importer's mark for George Stockwell.

From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items, which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail.

The bezel has a few small indentations but other than that the case is in good condition The engine turned detail to the case back is still nice and crisp.

The watch glass is in good condition, just a couple of little marks but you have to look closely to see them.

The dial has a few hairline cracks but they are faint. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
