1919 Silver Kendal & Dent Pocket Watch.

Kendal & Dent were very well known watch makers and they also supplied ships' chronometers for the Admiralty. In later years, they bought in Swiss pocket watches for retail, such as the one we have here.

The watch has a nicely jewelled Swiss stem-winding movement, which is working working well. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.2mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the stem. The case is silver and there are silver import marks inside the two case backs for London 1919 with the importers mark for the Willis & Hill. The case has light surface marking from use and some mild bruising to the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1919 piece.

The acrylic lens is in nice condition.

The white enamel dial is signed Kendal & Dent London. Makers to the Admiralty. The double sunk dial has slight nibbling to the sub seconds dial centre. but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has blued steel hands.

The watch will come in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
