The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is beautifully ornate on both the front and back.
The Fortune name was a grade of gold filled case made by the American Watch Case Co., located in Toronto, Canada. They were in business starting in 1893 and continued well into the 20th century. Fortune cases were usually 20 year cases, meaning that the manufacturer guaranteed that the gold would not wear through to the central brass layer underneath for 20 years of use by the purchaser.

The case is in lovely condition and the front has a vacant cartouche.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a glass lens which is in good condition.
The dial is lovely condition too and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
