Tom Scott Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.

Standing on square tapering legs and finished with brass capped feet.
The chest is in good condition and has not been overly restored throughout its lifetime, so there are signs of age to it and the colour has a wonderful warm walnut glow.

The marble top is in good condition and is certainly the original with the matching breakfront to the centre.
The drawers both run smoothly, so this could be a useful storage piece, but being the 3/4 size that it is and so decorative, it would stand alone well as a feature piece in a hall or alcove for example.

Original backboards and also under the marble top, you have the original boards too, also with a lovely transport label showing it was moved from De Lyon Guillotiere to Grenoble.
Measuring:
32 1/2” or 83cm high
34 3/4” or 88.5cm wide
18 1/4” or 46.5cm deep
