Description

A 1920s Elgin full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a gilt stem-winding movement, grade 292, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 27827460 dates it back to 1925. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.8mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the Illinois Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marking from use and a couple of mild dents to the front and back covers but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, the glass lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has a couple of very faint hairline cracks but otherwise it is in nice condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
