Antique silver Cyma half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which has been identified as Cyma which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside London (import mark), 1918 with an importer's mark for George Stockwell.

From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items, which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail.

The front cover has a small lens surrounded by black enamel filled Roman numerals. The case has a couple of small “dings” to the front and some unevenness to the back.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a rose gold bezel with an acrylic lens which is in good condition. The dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands (including the special half hour hand), a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
