The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The watch has a nice quality English 3/4 plate pin set stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is numbered 42879. The movement is protected by an inner cover.
The watch measures 48 mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop.
. The case has light surface marking from use and wear to the engine turned detail on the back but overall is in nice condition for a 1880s piece.

The acrylic lens is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.
The white dial has a very faint hairline crack between 7 & 8 o'clock although hardly noticeable but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch will come in a new presentation box.
