Description

GILLOWS of LANCASTER: a good quality "Dwarf" SIDE CABINET or perhaps SIDEBOARD, by this famous North Country cabinetmaker.

Constructed of mahogany with beautifully figured timbers used for the top and fine "flame" veneers for the panelled doors, the centre two doors open to reveal shelved interiors, whilst the two small cupboards either side feature similar shelves. All doors are separated by faux columns and carved corbels, whilst the whole cabinet is raised on a plinth base.

An attractive and useful cabinet that can be used either in the Drawing Room; in the Dining Room as a sideboard or even as a hall cabinet, the slender 18ins depth being particularly useful in a smaller room. 60ins wide; 18ins deep; 36ins high (152x45.5x91.5cms)
