Antique Waltham Bartlett full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement, Bartlett grade with starwheel regulator, which is working nicely. The nicely patterned movement is fully signed and the serial number 18152825 dates it back to 1911.

The Bartlett grade was named after Patten Sargeant Bartlett who was one of the early employees of the Boston Watch Company which went on to become the Waltham Watch Company. He subsequently left Waltham to work for the National Watch Company at Elgin Illinois but eventually returned to Waltham to work as a salesman before opening his own wholesale business.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the English Dennison Watch Case Company for Waltham UK. The case is in good condition with just minor surface marks, nothing serious at all.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside, there is a later acrylic lens which is in good condition. The dial is also in lovely condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
