Description

 For sale this WW1 Royal Flying Corps 8-day cockpit watch by Etienne & Cie, circa 1916. This version is quite rare with its original white undamaged dial and deep blued handset, numbered 177.  The watch retains its unusual unsigned or numbered hinged case the case back stamped with the military W /I\D. The excellent eight-day movement is numbered but again unsigned and is in full working order.  Price £695.00

No 103 also with a hinged case is illustrated on page 394 and no 518 again with a hinged case, on page 392, British Military Timepieces by Konrad Knirim
