A Rare Rcaf (Royal Canadian Air Force) Pilots Watch No W1602, Dated 1942

Description

On offer for sale is this rare RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) pilots watch no W1602, dated 1942. Royal Canadian Air Force issued watches are very hard to come by today and are seldom on the open market. This example is in fine original condition. The handset has lost most of its luminous infill. As far as I know all Waltham issued versions had their dials updated by the Canadian Air Force in 1965 and this one on offer shows the updated dial ref no 6W/12. The heavy chrome plated case shows only slight service wear. Fully signed to the screw down back. The fully signed correct Waltham movement is in fine working order holding time. I have been wearing this watch over the last couple of months or so and is just a great watch to wear even today. Diameter 31mm excluding the crown.
