Description

Gents Waltham wrist watch, circa 1960.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is the Swiss calibre AS 1686 which was available in the seven and 17 jewel versions, this particular watch has the 17 jewels. The movement is signed Waltham Watch Co and has the Waltham import code of WXO.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is chrome plated and the signed case back is stainless steel. The case is in good condition, as is the lens.

The signed dial is in its original finish, an unusual metallic grey with a hint of warmth. Original dauphine shaped hands and centre seconds with red pointer end. There is are a couple of minor marks to the dial but they really only show at certain angles if you look closely.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
