Swedish Empire Style Painted Chest of Drawers

1920 - 1940
Description

Circa 1930 Swedish hand-painted, Empire-style, neat-sized chest of drawers in traditional Swedish grey colour. The rectangular top with a stepped fore-edge is over a long frieze drawer with brass escutcheon. There are 3 further long drawers with an arched recess to their fronts, circular brass handles and escutcheons, which are flanked by rounded pilasters with brass mounts. This is all supported on neat rectangular feet.
