A 1920s Junghans silver galonne cased pocket watch

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is stamped Junghans and numbered 0163477. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is .800 silver with a rose gold wash around the bezel and the edge of the hinged case back, known as a galonne case. The case has continental .800 silver marks and the Junghans logo. The case back has a vacant cartouche to the centre. The case has light surface marking from use and light wear to the rose gold wash but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece.

The watch lens is glass and is in nice condition.

The white enamel dial has several very faint hairline cracks although hardly noticeable

The watch has blued hands.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
