Antique silver Lancashire Watch Co pocket watch retailed by Burnand Booth Sheffield

The watch has a signed key-wound movement which is working well. The movement is stamped with the words 'reversing pinion', which is a device which prevents damage if the mainspring breaks. A winding key is included. The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover.

The watch measures 52.4mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Chester 1900 with a case maker's mark for Thomas Hewitt of the Lancashire Watch Company. The case has light surface marking from use and some mild bruising to the back but overall it is in nice condition for an 1900s piece.

The glass lens is in good condition with only minor marking from use.

The dial is signed with the retailers name Burnand Booth & Co Ltd, Sheffield. The dial has a very faint hairline crack between the sub seconds dial and 4 o'clock although not noticeable to the naked eye but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has blued steel hands.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
