For sale this rare WW1 military pilots design centre seconds silver cased watch with large crown, 1916. This is rare with a size of 36mm diameter excluding crown, these are normally 35mm. The silver Dennison screw front and back case is hall marked for 1916 and still retains what looks to be its original glass that has now yellowed. The fine centre seconds movement is in full working order keeping time. The original dial is divided down into 1/5th seconds which again is rare, it retains some original luminous paint to numbers, but all has been lost from the original handset. A faint hairline and related mark just above the 10, otherwise excellent. Very heavy strap lugs to the main case body. A fine rare example. Price £675.00
