Antique Limit No 2 pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, signed Limit No 2, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover, there is a little scratching where this inner cover has been opened in the past.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel and overall it is in good condition, just a few minor marks to the hinged case back but nothing serious.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition, and it is also signed with the name of the original retailer, Otto Wehrle, Cambridge. Otto was the son of Andrew and Ida Wehrle who emigrated from Baden in Germany in the middle of the 19th Century. He was listed as a jeweller and he was also an organist for a local Catholic church.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
