Description

Antique silver Waltham pocket watch, 1898.

The watch has a nicely jewelled stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 8169045 dates it back to 1897. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.4mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both case backs for Birmingham 1898 with a maker’s mark for AB, for Alfred Bedford, the Manager of Waltham UK. The case is in nice condition with only mild bruising to the back.

The glass lens is in nice condition.

The white enamel dial is signed Waltham. The dial has a very faint hairline crack below the sub seconds dial although hardly noticeable.

The watch has its original gold hands and blued steel sub seconds hand.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
