Antique 1917 Waltham pocket watch with chain.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 210, which is working well. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 21316143 which dates it back to 1917. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover dated March 26th 1919.

The watch itself measures 44.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop so smaller than the standard sized 50mm diameter. The case is gold filled and was made by the Crescent Watch Case Company. The case has initials to the back and is in nice condition with only minor marking from use.

The acrylic lens is in nice condition.

The signed dial looks good to the naked eye. Through a magnifying loupe, two short faint hairline cracks can be seen to the bottom of the sub second dial. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a vintage 25.5cm chain which is of ideal proportions for the watch.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
