Antique silver Omega pocket watch and chain, Carrickfergus.

The watch has an Omega stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside the hinged case back, together with the early Omega logo. Overall the case is in good condition, just some slight unevenness to the back. There is a cartouche to the centre and it has initials although they are quite faint.

The acrylic lens is in very good condition.

The dial is signed by the original retailer of the watch, Dixon & Sons, Carrickfergus... believed to be J Dixon & Sons, the watch maker and jeweller listed as trading from West Street in Carrickfergus. The dial is in lovely condition.

The watch comes with a silver single chain, 38cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The T-bar has a date letter for 1909. Each of the links has the silver lion mark.

Also included is a 1917-18 silver fob with a Wiltshire Regiment's details to the front and the name Pte J Pothecary to the reverse.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
