Early C19th French Commode with Breche D'alep Marble

Super quality and very decorative early c19th French kingwood and inlaid commode chest of drawers with three individual drawers over two full width drawers below.

The commode has its original Breche d'Alep marble top which is one of the best of its kind I have seen with a large fossilised vegetation to the left hand side. The marble is also shaped to match the breakfront of the drawers.

Three individual drawers to the top row with two further full width drawers below, so it gives plenty of storage space. The commode is inlaid to all drawers and also the flush front corner panels too.

Original brass handles and mounts to the base of the feet.

Certainly a good bedroom piece for storage, but such a decorative commode would work really well as an alternative to a console table in a hall for example, placing it somewhere you will see it from all sides.
