Description

Gents WW2 Omega wrist watch.

The watch has a calibre 30 T2 hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 9,394,759 dates it back to around 1942.

The watch is a good wearable size at 34.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is marked Acier Staybrite... Omega introduced Staybrite in the early 1930s in their higher end watches, it is an alloy which is heat and corrosion resistant. The case has light marking but overall is very good for a watch from the 1940s. The inside of the case back has the Omega triangular stamp.

The winding crown is probably a later replacement.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has been professionally refinished at some stage, probably some years ago.

A new leather strap has been fitted although it has a vintage buckle.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
