18th Cent Oak Shropshire Dresser Base

18th century
Description

A very smart George III oak dresser base. It stands on elegant cabriole leg and has three mahogany cross banded drawers. All the drawers have retained their original fretted brass handles and escutcheons.

At the front is a particularly attractive fretted frieze.

This listing is for the dresser base only, the near matching plate rack is available for an additional £200. It has a similarly fretted cornice, 3 shelves and two cupboards.

Both the rack and base are in good un-restored condition but have a few marks consistent with age and use.

The maximum dimensions are:

198cm(78“) wide (base only), 208cm(82“) wide (with rack)

86cm(34“) high (base only), 218cm(86“) high (with rack)

48cm(19“) deep
