Description

This is a really superb quality and condition French c19th serpentine front commode chest of drawers in kingwood and walnut geometric parquetry and all original brass mounts and brass inlay.

The top is finished with an end grain moulded edge.

Fully restored and has cleaned up beautifully, now glowing as it was originally intended.

Certainly made by a very skilled craftsman and most likely to have been a Paris or Lyon based maker.

The style is of an c18th serpentine commode, but this is later and of a much more practical proportion.

Three full width drawers, all running perfectly and chestnut lined.

Very decorative and super quality piece of furniture, would be a great storage piece for a bedroom, but perhaps a main focal point in any room with a mirror above and a fine pair of chairs for display.
