Charles II English Oak Chest of Drawers

17th century
Description

Circa 1660, original English Charles II oak chest of drawers. The rectangular twin plank top has moulded cleated edges over 4 graduated, full-length drawers with bold geometric moulded fronts and moulded drawer divide, brass loop handles and escutcheons (some replaced). Geometrically moulded panelled sides all supported on (later) bracket feet.
