Antique Waltham Giant full hunter pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a high grade stem-winding movement, Giant grade, which is working nicely. This is a good quality movement with jewelled pallets and a starwheel regulator. The patterned movement is fully signed and the serial number 19,397,278 dates it back to 1913.

The Giant grade was produced in 1913 and 1914 with just 8,750 being produced in total, which is a very low volume when compared to some of Waltham's other grades such as the Traveler.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is in good condition for such an early piece, just general light surface marks from use.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside there is a lens which is in good condition.

The signed double sunk dial is in very nice condition and has blued steel hands and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a single chain, 35cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The chain is a slightly yellower gold than the case due to the varying amounts of copper added at the time of manufacture.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
