Description

A fabulous 18th Century Mahogany Tallboy of superb quality and originality with original handles, locks, escutcheons and feet. The drawer fronts are veneered with highly figured Mahogany on a Mahogany groundwork and the linings are wonderfully clean and made in oak. The fine fretwork on the freeze and waist mould continues on the ends of the piece. A rare feature being the fact that below the waist mould are two shallow secret drawers that are operated by opening the drawer below and using your finger to open them from inside the chest. This is a real country house piece of furniture.
